The Hidden Y
« on: March 11, 2006, 09:30:38 PM »
I took time today to find where the 'hidden Y' was in the junk 5 HP stator I acquired.  These photos show the wiring as original, the leads pulled and the hidden Y lifted and finally show it exposed and the silver solder 'knot' that would need to be clipped and the '2 in hand 19 gauge' wires that would need new leads.

Hell yeah, it's only a flesh wound..........or maybe mouse damage....or something like that.

Now it's possible...just possible, that it might recover from this.

although betting the house on it is not my first option...........
