Stirling Heat Engine

I built this Stirling Engine from an old vcr head assembly, and a few other parts. It worked even better than I thought it would.BR>


Here placed on my gas stove, over 2 quarts of boiling water, it achieved 300 rpms. and ran for 3 hours after the gas was shut off.

It may be "EGR" valve. - But - does your ISP not allow you to use a search engine?

The valve is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve, it is used to lower the combustion temperature by allowing some of the exhaust gasses into the intake to reduce the oxides of nitrogen emmissions from the engine.

Very nice indeed. one question, with it going so fast what if any amount of force would it take to stop it from turning? Can you simply put your finger on it and stop it or is there some decent torque coming along with the RPMs?

may I ask about the conection of the

rod from the "EGR" to the flywheel

or prop?

Is it like in an engine, con rod to crank?

The picture makes it look like not a off-set

crank type set-up?
