my future in mo.
« on: April 19, 2006, 02:02:24 AM »
well, spent last nine days in mo. worked on siding for pole barn. hoped to pour pad for my first windgenerator. my windgen is a 24v 10foot piggot design. maby i'll get it done during 4th of july. my intentions are to be grid free. i did build a 5hp car alternator charger uith adj. voltage controll. works wonderfull. while siding the barn i used for the first time a colman 2000 watt inverter to power all my power tooles, also for lighitng durning the night. i figure i saved 10gals of fuel in doing so. i was very well pleased with the inverter. noise free! oh my batteries were 4 gel 115amp hour. i always tried to keep them above 12v. i ran the charger a tank of gas a day to keep them charged never going over 14.1v as stated on batt's. i hope to build a batch water heater before my next trip down. had to run my gas gen to heat water for showers. when i get my batch heater hooked up it will be a step closer to alternate power.
