DC Servo Motor

"m818-065"

50W rating Con output

Volt 24V Curr 3.1A

speed 1630 rpm Max Curr 36A

No 9721    2.9Kg

I've been playing with on n off for a while now

3/8" shaft is easy to get hubs for

But, I wasn't getting it to light up a 12 VDC dome light

with any of the props I'd tried

A 5 blade "trim blade" would turn all the time,

even in very low winds, but voltmeter showed

about a volt, (Yep One Volt)!!!

I put a smaller four blade trim prop on with

a lot of pitch and that turned very well and

gained me about 1.5 Volts, up-to 2.5 Now!!! lol

I re-did test tower with a better pole and got it

up to about 15'

Wanting to put something up fast, I remounted the

servo motor and this time I'm using the

"New Hub Plan 2", (Water proof conduit box conecters)

This hub set up lets me build props that can then easly

be put on 3/8", 1/2" and with a slight mod 5/8" !!!!!! :)

This time I put a "zub-woolfer" up with it, (maybe 4')

And with the winds we had last night and now,

The little light is lighting UP very well !!!!!!

But, alass-

The yaw set-up I have for this one has no way to

run the wires thru pole. :(

(The wires are there but just tied off, hanging inside of

pole, my pipe in pipe has no access hole from using

a old RAM body from hydrolic shop scrap bin for outer pipe

it has a sealed end)(no welder and last time I tried to

cap a pipe with a washer it just keep burning holes thru the

pipe)

Thats why I put the little dome light up on the tower,

but this time I can't reach it with ladder to hook-up

test leads for voltage readings. :(

O-well

Girlfriend just told me it was to high running between a

couple power lines in her backyard, (her house has a power

pole behind it feeding bolth houses on each side and feeding

a line across the street in front of her house not just her house but

just about the whole neighbor-hood), :(

But thats why I call them "Test Towers"

LOL

Had to pull it down.

Best to keep them happy. (Girlfriend) lol

But did get a washer welded to a pipe large enough to fit over new

main mast, (of course on the end I had already filed

the inner lip off of so it would go over a 2" pipe,:(

I was even standing right there when girlfriends brother

was welding it and missed it getting turned around somehow

so now I still got to re-do that to see how it's going to fit)
