Tom, in the Diary section, it might be prudent to have only the poster write. When a diary is written at home, others can't/shouldn't write in it(unlike here). Any that are interested could start a thread on it in the proper place? As for off topic postings, I think many have read this, and perhaps we will at least try to do better. :-) Gary D.

I disagree with this.  This is an open forum and people should have the opportunity to comment.  After all, why are you putting the stuff here anyway, rather than keeping it to yourself?

Allow me to assist, IMHO the biggest stumbling block to free debate is the reluctance of us common people to comment. Why, well the experts, as valued/indespesable as they are, discourage us mear mortals from replying.


I am reluctant to confess my current project on the board as I feel I will be shot down by university trained ppl generally unable to think outside the box.


So Allan ducks the brickbatts, and slips off to the side smirking.
