Gen Off-Set from Tower,
« on: June 16, 2006, 01:31:23 AM »
"if you make the alternator offset less than about 4% of rotor diameter it will never furl"

That sounds like good info

So if it is then

How much offset for say a 8'

Or how about a 10'

????????????????????????????????

  1. % of 8 feet is an offset of 3.84 inches away from the yaw bearing.
  2. % of 10 feet is 4.8 inches.

Or, you can just use the rule of thumb, 1/2 inch of offset for each foot of rotor diameter.
