Something must have gone really wrong when I measured power first time.

Just measured again, using a lamp as a load.

at 600RPM, it sees 18VAC at 85mA.

18 * .085 = 1.53W

When the stator losses are .45W, this means that .45/1.53 * 100% = 29% are stator losses. This is much more than the original 10%...

What I suspected was correct: my original powermeasurement was not good enough.

30% is a lot; hopefully it will be less for the full size conversions (130W & 3hp).

It is early here Peter, but what about the (lack of) efficiency of the motor?

With 300 ohm coils X 85ma = 25.5V.  2.17W or 59% is lost in the coils.

Plus 1.53W output = 3.7W.

That takes stator losses back down to 12%.  Right?

In defense of Henkel (mfg. of Loctite),

They did respond to my question, though a bit late (2 weeks). For bonding nickel plated magnets to steel, they recommend Loctite 326.

I used epoxy and will continue to use that, but it may be relevant information for others.

Glenn,

I've made a mistaken, I realize now. I've distributed 42 magnets over the circumference, it should have been 56.

Hope this explanation on how to de-cog was clear enough.

Grtz.
