A little town up by my girlfriends cabin,
There is a windmill tower n old windmill on it.
I've been eyeing for a couple of summers now,
(she never stops so I can get a close-up, ya-know!). LOL
This was at one of the homes it looked like from the Hi-way.
She said it had been there forever, she has been going up there
since the 60's and I've only been going for three summers now
and only seeing windmills since last summer. lol
Anyway, a fellow that is friends with her family and spends
alot of time at the other cabin, (Her brothers place, closest neighbor
up there, about 200 yards thru forest can't see but can see when lights are on,
only other one about 2 miles down the valley then 6 miles or so to
this town I'm talking about),
This guy bought the place in town
that has the windmill n tower on it.
Her brother told me last sunday that all this guy wants is the
tower n windmill left up and for somebody, {he said, he said wouldn't
John, (thats me), want this stuff},
to pick it all up and haul it off.
Her brother told me that there is a extra gen head sitting there
with a hub but no prop. And 18 single cell batteries, I'd also
get all the controls and pretty much everything but the tower n windmill on it.
The guy wants it for only the looks, (yard ornament type thing), I quess.
I was also told it's got a 1936 pat number or something like that.
So this weekend, between trying to finish trimming out the windows and the
floor baseboard trim, I'm headed over there, We're taking the trailer up anyway,
(Cleaning up some of my windmill n tower type parts I've collected this past year)
and we usually end up hauling it home empty, but I dought that I'll be able to
bring much of this stuff home, yet.
But I'll get it into storage and get the info off every thing and take many pictures.
