Trailer Hub

I've been sitting on for about a year or so.

Now trying to find the Axel spindle for it.

And know why he gave it to me, for free.

Lack of parts support, for this older style

thats a 5 bolt, on 4 1/2" bolt circle.

The problem, it seems, is the little bearings used

LM11948's, that have only 3/4" ID.

Don't try to show me a link to the normal trailer

parts places used by people here, I've been researching this. They will sell you what I've got but lack showing the spindle for same hub kit on their site. I might call or just use some 3/4" stock.

I know this is only rated at 1,000 lbs.

but for a first smaller Dual Rotor, should be fine.

New bearings n all.

Just venting here a bit

sorry

Sounds like you have a garden tractor 'style' utility trailer hub equal to the ones that can go as a kit for as little as $100 at garden centers. A little google action cross-referencing from tractor supply or homies depot may get some results on similar items giving at least a .pdf splody view of how they cheated with a straight axle, etc...

DanG-

Thanks

"garden tractor"

About what I've found, E-bay, has some

cub cadet axles listed that are 3/4".

I'll pass on them old used looking things.

"championtrailers.com"

"PAINTED IDLER HUB - PART # 0202"

(If anyone can find a spindle for this @ this site,

you'd be the man, lol)

Same as one I got but,

This one was for a boat trailer, many years ago

Parts Mng @ boat store I worked at told me it had been around long b4 he got there, why He was glad

I took it home. It's still in factory box.

I'll just make something to work for it,

finding something 3/4" shouldn't be to hard.

Now if I could just figure out-

if the hub is behind the rotors or

in-between them?

I've gotten so used to the standard pictures around here that I just scroll past most, lol!

I'll re-research, or check some of the many G's of files saved from here.

A zero cogging gen would be a nice change, lol.

:)
