Confused, Again
« on: October 09, 2006, 09:06:05 PM »
JW,

You wrote in response to my previous diary entry http://www.fieldlines.com/story/2006/10/5/193117/465:

I want you "all" too know, that I have re-occuring nightmares about this sort of thing happening to me. :) Make a posting/comment, then withdraw from the computer for a couple of days(for un-known reasons ovcoarse), then return and stumble across a story like this. eeeegad... Sometimes we post with a general think-tank attitude, then say to ourselves, whoops. I just want to stress, that i believe this board has a great bunch of folks, the collegic spirit is strong here. This is a fun place.

If im not mistaken Roger, I remember you, regreting, going after a newbe, like an elephant stampeeed, and stateing(sp?) that you had some dues to pay. Please, someone correct my circular logic, i can't help myself.

But seriously though, ULR should have responded by now, if you were on to something. Personally I hate these type of postings, went through this myself with Troy awhile back(years ago). The best thing about this forum, is the easy going curious attidude here...

End Quote:

Now;

Was somehow posting to my own diary wrong or in bad taste? I felt to completely change the nature of ULR's posting to the main board would have been in bad taste. I felt my opening line set that tone. The people to which I addressed this (et al) may respond or not as they see fit, Did I offend any of you? If so it was an oversight and not intended. ULR may not have noticed that I posted(the title was cryptic). It's no biggie to me if he did not repsond, others I know and trust did. Sometimes I don't have time to respond to emails and other messages so I post to my diary.

Nightmares? eeeegad? Whoops? Circular logic? Just what are you trying to say? Are you questioning the intent or content of my diary entry? My simple mind requires more elaboration. I thought I made my little diary entry in proper form. The ramblings of an old and sometimes very tired man.

No I regretted the way I went after someone I know and respect, not a newbie. That person was TomW, and others I went off on regarding identity and other issues I will not regurgitate here. Read back through  my diary, and main board postings, because the messages are still there unless the owners and operators of this board have removed them. Since then I feel I have comtributed in a meaningful way to several users of this forum. Your opinion may differ.

The other person that attacked me without reason or provocation and I went off. I'm not real proud of either episode, and it's so thoughtful of you to bring those vile emotions to everyones attention once again. However in the event of an attack I will not lie down or surrender without an overwhelming response. That person I slammed had proved on several occasions to be, shall I say, a pain.

Until I find time to waste more of yours,

I want you to know Roger, I like you.

I do think you contribute much to the board. I read some of the posts and response's and cant help but to chuckle. I really didnt try to come off like you were using bad taste, It was more like one of those uknowwww's. But you make a good point, I apologize.

"No I regretted the way I went after someone I know and respect, not a newbie. That person was TomW, and others"

We have all been where your talking about. Me included, TomW's an okay guy, he's got brass balls, trust me, he told me on IRC chat.  :)

The only reason I brought up that thing with the newbie, was because I read your post after the experince and was very impressed with it. I (to this day) completly missed the post you were talking about. Never seen it. I want to do what I can, to let you know, that I do think you make a valuable contribution here. I get your point about thick skined and all that, guess it was the same thing I was trying to do with my comment. but im very glad you brought this up. I agree I was a little off, there. I was hopeing you would just bring it up in the original story instead of here. That way we could lure ULR in...

:) :) :)

I just had to include this link to the dialog.

http://paul.merton.ox.ac.uk/science/darksucker.html

I remember a story here on fieldlines titled 'the darksucker' It was the funniest thing. I did a search here on the board- came up with, nothing/nada/zip  Guess that one is gone. I will miss it. :) The link I have posted seems to validate it though, strange...

JW,

OK, as my title suggested I was confused, nothing more.

URL may be on wildblue.net and have the same unreliable off for days net access as do I.

No harm no foul.

That is a GREST theory. Guess my goal should be to invent a Darksucker that can be emptied or maybe put a little bleach in each darksucker to bleach out all the dark.

My idea, so dont any you guys swipe it fore I get it patented

Jim, your right on track.

You see there are Macho's and Wimp's, each corrisponds to a separate, current dark matter theory belief. Yet, in either witch theory, dark matter is way faster than 'c2'.

 Yes,yes,

I have a rotating widgimentbob, it opeartes on 2 by 4 inch wheels. The corigated spatulum simply states this. Considering the elelutinary-is-phobic momentum we all know that it cant be stopped. Yet the universal tywilight seperates the frequences to which there is no answer. Pondering this, the evoquatum is highly pronounced and irregular. Im going to rush right out and patent that.

Just having some fun :) best to all...
