Radial Air Core

I am just testing my Radial Air Core with 36 holes and 12 magnets with #18 wire gauge and have a question. It is 3 phase and each one measured at 400 RPM 5.56Vac. Then when I connect it all to a bridge I get only 13.56v D.C output and short circuit 4.56Amps. I thought 5.56 X 3 = 16.68 v then X 1.73 = 28.85 Vac. Then 28.85 Vac X 1.4 = 40 volts D.C in theory. I tried reversing the wires etc and only gets lower output. I don't have pics yet but hope this weekend on unit. Which is right!

5.56V per phase, star connected line volts = 5.56 x 1.7 = 9.6 v ac.

Rectified dc will be 9.6 x 1.4 = 13.46vdc. Just about cock on your measured value.

I think you have been looking at calculations for a 12 pole 9 coil machine where there are 3 coils in series per phase.

I see my error and silly me. Been a little stressed loosing my babies after the storm. Going to put 34" blades on this one and get something running.

Here are a few pics'. Going to mount 1.2 meter blades on it, and found tube to cover the stator. I think it might do 100 watts but we see on drive test in a few weeks.

Update:

With these blades and high winds did not see much current about 1/2 amp. Then with cold weather high winds blades broke. Have taken it down, going to use generator in creek for hydro later on. It was fun
