strange impellor for dual rotor aircore parts

In my never ending quest for the right parts!

I went to the Army surpluse store looking for copper

tubing yesterday and left with a box of round flat parts instead.  LOL    

I spotted this magnet rotor looking part on a shelf and when I pulled it down was impressed with the thickness but wasn't liking the shaft hole size.





A better look at the hole.





Each side of the plate is 1/8".





4 impellors around it.





I figured that this would be worth the $5.99 price.





The impellors might help suck air in or out if I figure out a way to use this with trailer hub as front or rear rotor, I'll need to get/make a sheave for shaft I'm sure.

I also got a steel 5 1/2" v-belt pully for $2.99,

(2nd one, I got one last spring also), 5/8" hole.

A 5 1/8" two part pully type thing thats made of aluminum, with 5/8" shaft hole I'm thinking a nice hub for the $2.99 price

A 6" 36 tooth 3/4" hole steel sprocket, for $2.49. (put another one where I hope to still be able to pick it up next time I'm in there, lol).

I have a trailer hub that uses a 3/4" shaft/axle and found a few shafts I've picked up in my travels that are about 14" long that I had forgotten about and now might/should try a 6" dual

rotor.

Looks like some kinda pump impeller. I have seen that somewhere. Cant remember where. Long time ago.Probably when I was in the military .

Coldspot is that a bronze impeller?If so might not work well with mags.

I was and allways test with pocket magnet

thats how I know the split pully thing is

aluminum. (and weight and look).

This other older find fits the flat side nicely,

it's ID just slips over small lip on impellor.

Coldspot i never tried to stick a mag on a bronze impeller but have them at work.Sure doesnt seem to be a cast iron impeller by the greenish tint i see.

 Maybe me.Could be slightly magnetic but not like cast iron.Like brake rotors.

This impeller looks eerily similar to the impellers made at Rolls Royce (formerly Cooper Bessemer) for the natural gas compressors.  They made their's out of stainless steel.

They can really move some air at 5,000 RPMs.  

This is actually 2 pieces welded together.  The impeller blades are machined onto the bottom piece, and then the top cover is welded into place.  Then, the top surface is machined to smooth the welds.

Have seen an impeller like this before for a centrifugal water pump.

the crapy camera I've dropped enough times to

require rubber bands to hold together and keep battery/ SD card inside, quicky resize done to post in a hurry, stains I haven't done more than wipe a few strokes with steelwool to see if they are removable and they will clean out.

Cast, looks like lost sand type maybe.

more for the stacks, or so I've been told. LOL

 Good morning

 I think water pump impeller's.I have several of them.

 One is bronze.-One is cast iron.-One is cast alu.

All the rest are plastic [nylon-delrin ?sp].

 Some fit a 1/2 in shaft-some a 5/8 in shaft.

I think Elvin is right. I also have several of them. They are used as water pumps in large engines in the oilfields, ships etc.
