bike alts--video test.

just a test on my new cam --thanks to my daughter...

one is a 6and 12 combo and the other is a 110v motor conversion--no rects on just straight ac out--all three phases wired in series--didnt think it would work that way but it dose.....they may take awhile to load up..one  is 4mb and the other 6mb

seems you have to right click on the box then click view image..thats with win98.

must be a better way to load these up?????????????

that should read-- 6 and 8 combo--

7 1/4" sawblade rotors-3phase-wired in star-#17 wire..........

These aren't loading because they are NOT images!  They are Videos!


Use the A HREF tag instead of the IMG tag.  Change the ( )  into < >  in this example:

What are the wattage of the 3 headlights? They sure light up.


The 110 volt conversion seems run great. I specially liked Hendrix jamming on the record player!

 theres no marking on the lites --most likly around 50watts each..

 zap had it right..

 its real easy to power up the radio and record player--or a small tv-had one

that was rated at 45watts could sit there and pedal for a whole hour our untill you got bored....

i can rewire the motor by hooking rects to all three phases--but then i cant play the radio--or some tvs--they dont like dc..with all three phases rectified it puts out close to 250-280watts--real hard to pedal at that load..had three 100w bulbs hooked to it for the test..[didnt reach full brite but close]anyway that little motor surprized me on its output--ceramic powered..

okay heres the last one..........


had it buried in a snow bank--1.5hp treadmill motor..

have a 2.5hp will install that later--looks like the only diffrance is bigger mags inside.....

hiker, your stuff always looks home made and primitive but works great.

my stuff looks home made,primitive but usually doesn't

boy, was i mixed up!

hiker,don,t get the wrong impression, i am very impressed with the stuff you build. when others require expensive neo mags you can build working generators with old ceramic mags .

custom made steel rotors/just use old saw blades!

and what you can do with an old cieling fan and some hard drive neo is very cool.

you inspire me , thanks for all your posts.

hey electro.....


 its more or less just a hobby for me--may get serious some day and build a heavydudy

 alt..and most of my alts are neo powered [ceramics topped off with neos]..

 that little motor conversion is strickly ceramic powered thou--had no room for neos

 when i built a new rotor for it--still it puts out a fair amount of power for just

 being powered by neos-- 4 pole rotor with 8 lowes ceramic mags -2 mags per pole-

 not stacked but length wise...real tight airgap.

 i like your stuff as well..great work....... ;}
