To much fun

I`M a amputee in a wheel chair and retired mechanic I have been reading and playing for months started out with a stepper motor then small servo type motor than bought ed`s mini gen also in the middle of building 7 &1/4 mill 12/36 ed lenz`s design with laminations I have never had this much fun reading and building thanks to all here I put together a small system have 2 car batts coleman 400 watt inverter 5 watts solar more on the way and the mini gen rewound with micro wave oven transformer wire I cut the middle out off 20 inch box fan blade mounted it to the mini gen then put in 1/2 inch conduit 2 feet long added a tail and wow! its up 16 feet and have seen over 19 open volts and over 100 millamps shorted it runs thru 2 25 volt 3300 uf caps and its jucien the 2 batts along with the solar on a cloudy day I`M burnen some power right now will post some pic`s soon            simp

Sounds like you got the bug alright . I've got several of the 800 watt collman pretty tough unit . See you in the new grid.
