Clearly a case of cabin feaver brought about by too little sun, therefore a holiday down under picking passionfruit will tan you and thicken your hide so to better deflect those barbs.

Just send me your flight details Tom and I will pick you up.

Hi Tom W.

I know you said enough allready, but. You have a long list of supporters here and I just wanted to make sure you know I'm on that list.

Tom as far as the board is conceren, you and I go way back. Your one of the resons I've been around here so long.

Yes sometimes your a grumpy old fart but who isn't. I wear that same hat from time to time myself.

One thing I apricate from you is, we never have to guess your point of veiw. We need some world leaders like that. That would make the globe a better place.

OH I think I was the 2nd person to vote for you.

I thank you for being a straight shooter and thanks for all your support over the years.

You've stood up for me when others were trying to take me down a noch or to.

I could not let this go by without saying thank you.

I don't see any reason why you should leave.  You have just as much right to be cranky as I do.  And you certainly have the right to state your opinions.  I couldn't do your job.  I'd get into too many fights.  If I had my way I'd fix it so a posting would not be accepted unless all words were spelled correctly.  I realize that if our hosts were to do that, site contributers would drop precipitously.  But that's me.  I believe we need to maintain certain standards.  So,if I ever have a site, beware.

Please DON'T start that again :(

I'm for Tom to stay!!!

I caught hell here back before the board changed. I didn't mean to be rude, but I wasn't thinking about my wording when I made the post. And rereading it latter it definatly came out as very RUDE. That taught me to pay attention to what and how I'm writing.

So I have to wonder when these post show up, was being rude the intent. Or lack of thinking when tpying?

Another problem I see here is some people tend to skim read a post, then reply to it. Making obvise errors in their responce. Like asking for info that was allready given, ect.

I dont know why you worry about this type of stuff Tom. You have never given any less than an intellegent answer, to any intelligent question or technical related matter.

We all have our opinions, you are entitled to yours just as anyone else is. Besides no matter the issue you can be contacted on IRC. That in itself, offers others a way to communicate with you off of the board. So technically, you really dont cause problems.

confidence.

Hey,  we all make mistakes, so I added an extra space here to compensate.  It is possible to program the computer to check for the spaces after commas and add them in or else go tilt.  The computer that I'm using wants to drop the capitals at the beginning of sentences.  Occasionally, one gets by.  The program could check for that too.  Anyway, I'm not concerned by the occasional mistake, but by systematic laziness and inconsideration.  The day I stop making mistakes is the day I sign off this site and go to that great Internet in the sky!

Fin,

Just messin' with ya. Notice the smiley at the end of my sarcastic line. Supposed to have been all in good fun.

See, I made a mistake just by adding a little comment.

Nah, not really.  I can take it.  No offense taken.  I just didn't want people to think I was all that rigid.

Tom, I hardly trust myself, so don't even ask me to have trust (confidence) in you... ;)

Personally, I prefer that this board will be rigidly kept on topic. The fact that it has been over the years (removing overunity posts, silly questions or generally off-topic things) may explain the popularity and even, the actual surviving of this board over the years. If someone wants to use magnets to improve his health, fine. There's lots of other places on the web that they can discuss such things.
