Today I'm looking if anything improved

Well if I add up all the drop wire coming down I should be at a 12 gauge now, however I am not sure that will help much I am doing a half hourly reading to actually average out how much current I am producing and what wattage will be figured later. I want to see:

A. if adding those additional strands made an improvement

and

B. I want to see how much energy I could gain if I somehow put my panels on a moving mechanisim that would turn it into the sun I already saw that even in the morning if I had my solar panels turned toward the sun it produces much more current than in the current fixed position; however, gains must be weighed against:

    1. what the mechanism will cost me

    2. how much energy will be lost for me to turn it and retract some sort

of locking mechanism. I can't have the panels all of a sudden turning

with the wind, but it must be able to withstand high winds when the

Santa Ana's Kick in, but it also must be able to turn fairly easily

when it is being turned to save energy.

So I want to really see how much power is being produced at certain times and of course I want to know if the wire made an improvement.

That's all for now, time for another measurement at 10 a.m. Solar noon is at 1p.m. this probably will also tell me if my panels are really adjusted for solar south.

Well I't 2.47 Pm and besides some spikes in the 3.2 A range which were rare and not really recordable my power so far at 248 pm from 8:30 this morning equals like 152Wh so far with all those clouds I'll be lucky if a produce like 200wh's today total. However on the bright side, wait there is no bright side it's cloudy as heck LOL.

No serious my 2 panels are still producing 200wh on a very cloudy day heck that's enough for an hour of tv lol, if I get a smaller tv well maybe 2 or three hours lol

anyways that's all for now

Hello terramir,

Nice tracker with concentrator!

If DIY built from the beginning outside of the electronics not more costly than any other mounting.

The electronics are cheap, $40 seems to be the cost.

Have fun,

Scott.
