Damon;

   Pictures are a bit hard to see. Could you post the schematic or a longer discussion of how it all works?

Also, how well has it worked out since you've put this online so-to-speak?

Looks interesting.

Hi,

I've been updating my diary periodically.

Summary:

  1. I'm getting ~3hrs per day even in semi-crappy UK non-summer weather.
  2. Latest stats here for current/prev day: http://www.earth.org.uk/off-grid-stats.html
  3. Current implementation of LVD and switchover unit (revision 3): http://www.earth.org.uk/laptop-12V-mains-fallback-schema-3-full.gif
  4. Discussion of LVD design here: http://www.earth.org.uk/low-voltage-drop-out-circuit-design.html
  5. More on the laptopn setup here: http://www.earth.org.uk/low-power-laptop.html

What did I miss?  Tell me and I'll try to cover it!

Rgds

Damon;

  The schematic here is SOOO much better than what I was looking at from the first set.

Very nice indeed.

Send me your coordinates< I'll surely send some of the heat/sunshine we're having.

:-C

I got a little worried at took out the meter with a thermistor to make sure thw panels weren't getting too hot from the house bricks that are getting a daily baking.

Fresh bread anyone? home baked without the use of the oven even :/LOL:/

Cheers
