First full month of server off-grid stats in...
« on: September 01, 2007, 03:23:59 PM »
Didn't quite have a full month of stats for August since I didn't want to leave the system unattended at the start of the month while I was away.

I have also rearranged the panels better (tilted, unshaded) towards the end of the month.

See my little summary here if you are interested:

Remember that this is an 'add-on' to my RE office lighting pilot, only designed to skim 'excess' energy to the laptop/server, so 13% overall off-grid time is not too shabby.

I always had power for my 12V office lighting when I have wanted it, so this really is 'excess' energy that I'm using, at least so far.

It will be interesting to see how this changes for autumn/fall and winter.  I may have put together my dedicated and much larger PV system by then of course, or tinkered with this one by building a small wind turbine!  B^>
