Started Solar Greenhouse
« on: August 24, 2008, 03:52:23 AM »
I decided to take advantage of the great weather and construct a greenhouse. The orginal plan was to construct a 16' x 40' structure, but I mis-counted when drew the plans and funding for the project is fixed, so now the greenhouse 16' x 20'.

It is being built over a old house foundation and hopefully will be the site for some solar experiments.

Hi, this is a picture of the old foundation. Eight years off the grid, what do use as a power source? I have a small 8 amp solar panel and a 400 watt wind turbine that charges 5 deep cells at 12 volts, I use it to power a small machine shop, lathes, mills, and lights. I am trying to make my own VAWT. I have all the parts, just need more space to work, so I am building the greenhouse.

Best Regards
