Almost There
« on: December 26, 2008, 08:44:41 PM »
Picked up three 21' sections and one 13' of 4 inch schd 40 pipe this week. I picked up a length of 2" and 1-1/2" pipe for a pivot point. I have figured out the circuits in the house that I am going to hook to the battery bank but need to see if I can remove a couple of rooms from it.

As it turns out my son's room downstairs, all three rooms upstairs and the furnace are all on the same circuit...not the best wiring job but the house is old. I am hoping that there are separate wires at the breaker box that I can re-route without having to go under the house (very short crawl space) and find where the branch is...

Hope to get the tower welded up in the next few days. Ground anchors are already in place, wiring is run to the generator location...

I swear if more people knew what to look for, and inspected their electrical panels, about 1/2 the electricians in the world would need lawyers!  When I moved into this house I discovered that the baseboard heater in one room was wired on the same circuit as the clothes dryer.  Yet there was empty space in the panel (at the time) for a new 240V circuit... Shake your head, then go down to the hardware store...

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.
