Slight update on pedgens
« on: February 05, 2009, 06:48:52 PM »
I'm gradually getting organized ....took the

pedastal from an old computer chair to put the

battery ....usually one of the 5 amp/hr NiCad

12 volt batteries along with the  2 multimeters

one for voltage and the other for milliamps.

Now for convenience everything can be rolled out

set in front of the TV...all set for the evening's

entertainment...so instead of becoming a couch

potato... I'm starting to become an exercise nut.

Just imagine...at first just slow pedaling

....a little over 5 watts?? (800 Ma. @ 15 volts)

and that's just during the commercials.

I really enjoyed the feedback I got from.....

Now I think there are a lot more of you people

out there....so I have the above link added to my

hot list others of you can do the same...if they

wish.

Could they use whole 'swing states' to power the grid come election time?

  Tom;

Was thinking about installing a clamp on swing

in one of the doorways but wife won't approve...

meanwhile I'd have to shovel a 20 ft. x 2 ft. wide

and 18" deep....to get to the swing then once

out there a 10-15 mph. crosswind at 10-15

degrees nasty chill factor...

LOL

Sounds like you need a handy dandy shovel generator. . . . . and perhaps a clamp on wind turbine for the top of the swing.  Rich

If you connect that...

to one of those electric bike kits...

Might get enough extra to run the swing?

Hmmm...  :)

Trying to design an unobtrusive linkage to connect my wifes jaw to a small PMA, but so far, I have not found any materials that will withstand the frequency of cycling.

Anyone have a link to some public NASA engineering data?

PS found many other links to pedal generators from using Google "image" search
