wind 2
« on: February 12, 2009, 02:07:18 PM »

Tried to put this photo in original post, but messed it up somehow.

All the good comments have me worried, if this photo works, you can see

the size of the heat sink on the front, the 1/4 aluminum is on the back

side, with the rectifiers on that.  Case is sandwiched in between. I

used a two part epoxy heat sink compound in between all layers. Plan B

might be in order.  I ordered lots of rectifiers, so could double up, or

I have three fans from computor power supplies that fit nicely over the

heat sink.  A rectifier failure worries me, as it can take a whole bunch

of stuff with it.

Thanks again for the comments, and to Tom, are pics small enough, or

is your preference smaller?

The picture size is excellent.

Looks like your voltmeter only goes up to 15 volts, I guess you will know it's at equalizing voltage when it's pegged out. (Assuming you are using Flooded lead acid batteries) Full charging would read around 14.4 volts, so it's gonna read fairly high when charging. I charge mine at 14.6 or 14.7 volts as suggested by this FAQ.

Woof--should have included in post-meter is physical size of one to be

used, but have 40 amp on order.  Just used this one for fitting.

   Good eyes
