Now that's getting out there, nearly twisted a rib trying to hand crank a Ford 4N :-D.

Sounds like the Chevy monza, flat 6.

Popping the clutch is an art form.

"Nobody ever said that in the history of the world." Wasn't that a movie?

Geritol was the stuff you took to stay "regular" and healthy :-/

M.O.M. was if you took too much Geritol :-D

Back's getting sore just thinking about to contortioning had to do to work on some of the 60 - 70s cars.

Remember metal dash boards? reach up once while working on one while car sits in sunshine , will never ever do that again. Could keep coffee hot just sitting there.

My first car and one I passed my test in (with no floor under the pedals), 2CV, could always start it one way or another and drive it on the starter if it ran out of petrol or got stuck in a flood!  Nothing fancy about these!!

Ah yes....way back when you only used the starter

if the battery wasn't dead and it always was ....

and people kept the car running because they might

not get it started again that day if they shut it off....

which is why I can't understand people running

their car these days while they're getting gas?

So far( over a dozen, last two, new cars) I have not owned a car with AC, power windows, locks, or anything like that, just two were auto trans, both failed. my car now is a 2002 Hyndia accent, cheap car, last on was a 1998 ford ranger, they had to go 4 states over to find one with out all the junk on it.

I had a 1971 VW KG, drove it home with just a wire to the coil, no lights, starter, no off switch.
