The old board

When I first started visiting fieldlines it was the old(ugh!) board.  Even though I found it irritating to view all "nested" responses, there were a few gems to be found and it was always interesting to see who was still hanging around.

At one time there was a link to the old board but I can't seem to find that link now.  Is it gone or is it my mind that's going?

the old board software was too much of a security risk so they had no choice but to take it offline i was told.... perhaps if there was enough clamor we could get them to port it into a searchable database that would be secure enough to be online?? it was kinda cool for us very old timers to search back and see what newbs we were when we started and stuff like that.

Thanks kurt... I kind of figured it had been shelved since I could no longer find the link.  I only noticed it was gone once the site started going through all the troubles a few months ago.

Is that when it was taken offline?

I enjoyed strolling through the old posts.  It was neat seeing how some things had progressed.
