Want convert solid fuel stove to oil
« on: October 20, 2005, 11:22:49 AM »
Hi, I would like to fit an oil burner into my Parekray Caprice99 solidfuel burner.

This is an enclosed wood/coal fueled  stove with back boiler. The space inside the stove is 12" deep by 11" wide. Has anybody any suggestions please on a simple conversion. I would prefer not to use a blower but use gravity feed using oil and or biodiesel when I get round to getting a supplier of methanol!! The stove has the following specification:

BTU/hr to water between 29500 and 32500; output to space BTU/hr 6500 to 8500.

Radiated surface inc DHW sq.ft 160 - 178 (I really dont know what this means :) ).

Any sugestions greatfully received. Thanks. I feel sure that someone out there has done a similar conversion. Al
