I was just looking at the post about the newspaper roller and started thinking about something else.
What if you soaked paper/carboard garbage in water and ground it up into pulp with some sort of dangerous homemade machine yet to be engineered.
Then, strain out the pulp and put it into a 3" or 4" metal pipe. Compress with hydraulic jack and allow excess water drain. Remove, let dry.
Would you then have a dense paper log that holds together well? This is basically the process for making recycled paper, isn't it? Would it burn well in a wood fireplace without smoldering?
Just thinking outloud here. Any thoughts appreciated.
Jesus why start another off topic thread on the same crap?
