heating water using magnets

I'm looking into using spinning magnets inside of a heating coil to heat water. Some of the info i have seen looks promising, but it's not specific enough for my current level of ignorance.

sounds unnessarily complicated. why not use the power you are going to need to spin the magnets to drive an alternator feeding a resistive load? IE water heating element? if you cant heat the water directly from the power.

Somebody started some garbage about the Lenz effect heating being more power than it took to drive the magnets years ago and the story got spread around enough to where a whole lota people believe it just because they've heard it repeated so many times. At least he wants to heat water instead of using the water to run his cars engine.

A friend writes patents. Years ago he told me about someone who came into the office and wanted a patent on a spinning impeller to heat water. Sure it works, but why do it that way. Rotational energy is pretty hard to move around.

"using the water to run his cars engine."
What would be wrong with wanting this?
Why can't we also be like "Daniel Dingel" or the many other out there doing just that ?
I'd like to see a new forum section just about
"Hydrogen".
As for the heating of water:
I'm going to try a bit of cold fusion and a lot of Solar!
