Anyone caring to comment about the code requirements or your experiences with or without the utilization of tar/felt black paper in Ontario?
I hear opinions (from contractors) that it is no necessary except by the leading edge, others think that is the second line of protection for water to get pass the plywood. This in conjunction with a low slope roof with 20 years asphalt shingles.
I do not have the code book, or access to it.
Appreciated if you share your experiences.
