don't underestimate the value of an interior load bearing wall, when thinking of strawbale construction.
my engineer told me a centrally located load brg wall can take up to 5/8 of the roof load, this leaves very little loading for the side walls to contend with, making the use of load bearing strawbale a lot more attractive.
it also make for easier to build and hoist up roof trusses, which can be half trusses instead of full trusses.
i am going the strawbale route myself
hope to get the foundation in this spring
