FSP 62556 1/2HP for hydro genny?

I recently came into possession of a FSP 62556 1/2HP AC induction motor from an older Maytag washer. What would I have to do to convert this to function as a generator for use in a hydro power experiment?
What are the 9 different leads for?
Is it feasible to make it submersible?
