I have posted an article on the following web site:

or you can search Google for the subject.

So basically what you're building looks like a tesla turbine with a few extra parts. Hich rpm with low torque right?

No.  It has no similarity to a Tesla turbine.

It operates more like a bladed turbine with bladeless discs.

Unless it is running on similar principles to a Tesla turbine I'm not too sure what I am missing.

How does it turn the kinetic energy in the steam into rotational movement in the bladeless discs?

those plates have holes or bumps on them? if not, it looks just like a tesla turbine.

Very good Alan ... you get a B+.

Any more guesses?

There is one clue in the article.

Yes, Steve you're missing something simple.

Maybe not so simple, because I could not find any similar designs in my patent search, which tends to verify that my design is original and not prior art.

Thanks for the comment ... try again.

your 'article' is a 'sales pitch'. dont see any useful info at all.

I think that the clue is in the "pressed" components.

I can think of a way to use that but it is unusual for someone to post anything on this forum and obscure the technical details.

Not really in the spirit of things old chap.

Obviously all is not revealed by the teaser drawing picture.

In side veiw, disc arrangement/stack appears similar to Tesla's.

But the apparent working fluid feeds and exits are distinctly

different as all of Tesla's had holes near centers of discs or

in the shaft istelf to feed or exit fluid depending if pump or

motor desired. If there are no ports in the dicss nor significant

gap at the disc rims to bore then yep a mystery method at work here.

While I did not spend a lot of time at that web site, I did look around for a claim that a working turbine using this idea had been built. The only "hint" I saw in that direction was this:

"It is hoped that this disclosure will stimulate an interest among other inventors, engineers, researchers, professors, tinkers and junkyard mechanics to produce working models from these concepts."

I don't think I will be applying for acceptance into the "select group" mentioned on the site. If there is a useful idea there, I'd say it's pretty well hidden.

I have posted a new more detailed description of a Slotted Disc Steam or Gas Turbine on the following web site.
