Simon:

The site does not give parameters information, not a good description of the Turbine or water wheel.

Can you tell us a description of the whole system in addition the bigh 20 KW PMG, its winding resistance, RPM, etc.

It looks interesting to know all the details.

I had to fiddle with the link/url to get it to work

this is a better link..

http://www.craftskills.biz/hydro-cameroon.htm

i think the stator could have used more than four support points

but nice work nonetheless

Looks gorgeous! Usefull for a slow VAWT too, having a huge number of poles.

Hallo guys I did the posting in a hurry with all the exitement. Now I have posted a HTML coded one light and all pic loading from my site.

Its a 400 turns each coil SWG 14 wire gauge, 54coils 18 coils per phase (3phase, 72 magnets on each rotor, 4 feet diameter rotor mounted on pillow-block bearings with gearing from the main propeller shaft from the river. The magnets are N48 2" by 3" by 1" blocks.

Its doing around 150RPM 380VAC between phases and 220VAC phase to neutral point.

I have the drawings if you want them.

Mbouda Cameroon at the ACREST Site

March 2007
our Technician Mr Jared Momanyi visited The Cameroon ACREST site for
three months where he constructed a Craftskills hydro-turbine. The turbine
is a 15 Kilowatts 3 phase 380AC per phase and 220 on each phase with
neutral point. This turbine was a big success of affordable technology
and lighting several homes while running workshop equipment.

simon . i only count 27 coils ?

that would be 9 per phase

and 36 mags per rotor , with a total of 72

Simon, I would love to see the drawings on this machine!! I count only 27 coils 9 per phase?

Do you have the #turns count for this machine?

Thanks Simon and Congratulations on your efforts!!!!!

just checking my math, i typed the info from what i could see into the number of turns calculator and it came up with 50 turns not 400??

Could someone check if this is right?

Thanks

Jamie

Hello,

I'm interested in the detailed scheme of the generator, I would like to build a simular project. Could you please email me the complete generator details?
