Under hood vehicle lighting.
« on: February 13, 2005, 12:38:53 PM »
Hi. My name is Don, of course, and I'm new. Although I've read a lot of alternative energy type material, I've never put any into practice. So, typically, I have a question. :)

Reading here has made me think of an application I'd like to try.

I'm wondering how I could hook up a plug in point, and maybe use an extra battery under my vehicle hood, to hang lights down alongside both sides of the motor compartment to have extra light when working. Also, It would be nice to be able to pop the hood and hang them outside for extra light when in the country, maybe at a fishing spot or some such. Could I even leave them in when 4 wheeling to make my vehicle look like it's got a nuclear power plant under the hood? :) Are there lighting products that would take the abuse, and would it be relatively easy to do?

Thanks for any input.
