I had my electrician put a 220v male outlet outside my house and in the basement he has to female outlets, one for grid and one hanging that goes outside to the previously mentioned outlet. In event of power failure, I start up my genny, which is 6000 watts, not sure what surge is, them plug in cable to wall for pump.
So my question is, is 40 feet of 10/3 good enought and I assume that I should start the genny first, let it run a while then run water in house as per normal
Anything I am missing?
