Question about board rules
« on: February 04, 2007, 07:19:47 AM »
I've seen some good answers to people's questions on this board and wondered if it would be ok for me to copy the answer and paste it to a related thread of mine?

For instance, I started a thread that asked about coil wire, and now someone else has asked a similar question, and they got a good reply that I would like to add to my thread. Just wondered if that would be ok. Thanks!

I personally don't see any problem with it.  Text doesn't require much bandwidth.  But it might make more sense to start a diary and put those tidbits of information that you find attractive there.  Sort of your personal FAQs section.  Just a thought.

sometimes I copy text

but it is much more helpful to others if you provide a Link to the story that has the information in it. That way they see the Context of the comment.

Like if you wanted to refer to questions about living off-grid in Alaska you could say "look here!"

Thanks all. I didn't want anyone suing me for copyright infringement so thought I'd ask.
