I am trying to build a 120 V Axial flux generator using 12 2"x1"x .5" N40 magnets and 2 brake disk rotors. One for the magnets and one to help increase the flux through the stator. Both will rotate. I am more curious what kind of windings I will need. Will 200 turns of 16AWG work? and what wiring will allow for the most voltage. I am hoping for an output of 1000w. so about 9 amps at 120V. any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I am looking to buy some magnet wire so i can get started.
Thanks,
Micah
Micah; As flux said in the one post that got in before i saw it, you need to give us lots of information. Exact planned use, what will drive it what RPM, etc. Please repost when you can provide all details. I mean all. Not even flux can read minds. Comments disabled.
