Output power of turbine
« on: June 27, 2008, 07:22:12 PM »
HI to all  Since putting back up my turbine ,it's working wonderful, i've had a few enquiries, and the question that comes up most " how much power does it put out"  now i know that  watts equal volts times current (W=VxI)  with a high wind i see at times around 12 to 14 amps   and since my batts are 12 volts  can i say the output of the turbine is around 140 to 150 watts ?

Sounds okay, as long as you are talking about the DC times DC.  Try measuring the battery voltage right now: since the batteries are being charged the voltage should rise up to, say, 13 or 13.5 volts.  Multiply that by the measured DC current, and you have power, in watts.

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.
