Wind is highly variable and inconsistent. I would suggest using a battery that is charged by a wind-gen. (or perhaps a Harbor-Freight solar panel?)

Is you concern a power outage cutting power long enough for your fish to die? if so, a simple switching circuit could engage the battery when the power goes out. This would eliminate constant cycling so the battery would last longer, and also reduce the size/cost of the wind-gen/solar panel.

If you just use a utility grid-charged battery and auto-switch, its my understanding its called an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS).

dazz;

In general a one liner request for help is unlikely to yield very good results as people have to use their time and energy to pry the information out of you rather than offer answers.

Might be wise to provide in depth detail on exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

Your call. If you really want help you really need to ask a specific question.

Just a thought.
