Math for VAWTs?
« on: September 03, 2008, 08:51:50 PM »
I have been working on crunching numbers for TSRs RPMs and the sort for verticcal axis wind turbines, but it strikes me as you really cant use the same math from the HAWTs was wondering if anyoneone had something like a list of formulas for figuring out all one would ever want to know about their VAWT.

Thanks for your time,

the most advanced vawt builder on this site is ed lenz

you could google windstuffnow .

he gives out a lot of formulas during the course of conversations on this forum.

The math would be for a twisted or a sprial whichever u perfer savinous VAWT with a sail area of roughly one meter squared.

Thanks,
