Inverters in parallel

I have 2 inverters/ One 300W and the other 800W. Can I connect them in series to supply a single 1KW load?

That entirely depends on the inverter, but seeing as they are that small, I would have to say no. Besides, think about the wiring in the 300 watt model. All the current from a 1KW load, so about 80amps will have to flow through it. Not likely that anything in there could take that kind of load.

I agree they can not be stacked and certinally not connected in series.


An inverter has to be manufactured for stacking, I know "Outback" can although I don't use them for personal preference reasons. Basically they have to syncronise their output frequency and voltage in a master slave configuration, ie one is the lead and the other follows, but they share the load.


Also 1100Watts is unlikley to run a 1000W load unles it is all resistive.
