solar ?

 hello  I have been on the a little over a year now, strictly wind . I hav'nt paid much attention about solar .I have a freind that just told me he was going to purchase a 10 KW solar sytem for 13,ooo.oo of course I asked if that was pannels only or the hole system  he said the hole system .Does that sound alittle cheap sw florida area for a new system including batt bank inverter and reverse grid ty 1300 per kw seems cheap.

I don't live in FL and don't know what rebates, etc. incentives, they offer, but that price for 10kw is not believable unless he's buying a used system that someone desperately wants to get rid of. Even then, it's highly unlikely and even if FL's rebates are extremely good, it is STILL unlikely. More power to him if it is accurate, but I doubt it. He's either mistaken or pulling your leg. MAYBE a 1 kw system if he's doing his own installation. Maybe.

The cheapest I have seen panels is about $2.50 per Watt, and that is not installed.  Might it be a '10KWH per day system', or some other terminology, as opposed to a 10000 Watt Solar System with solar panels rated to produce 10000 Watts in full sun?  Rich
