RPM vs Power of your Turbine.
« on: June 14, 2009, 08:47:30 PM »
Hello, I was wondering if someone could submit an xls of the output of their turbine. (RPX/W) it would be even better if you have one with amps and volts as well, thank you very much.

I have tried putting together a spreadsheet like this from some of the pages I have found on this site. Find my posting about my project and I have a link to a spreadsheet I started. I wish I could get more help on that because I think it would be a good learning instrument.

Battery at about 13.7V.

RPM 500 = 0W

RPM 700 = 0W

RPM 800 = 1W

RPM ~1500 = 22W

It looks like a flop?

However it is good enough to question the accuracy of the readings because the diameter is 25.5" and the wind speeds at the various outputs.

I see no relevant information with only RPM and power output values.

If you search through postings I've made over the years you would find some of mine.

The first of a small axial-flux (the first I ever built), and the second is a big motor conversion:

I put the things into a lathe, which turns them while I measure the voltage, current, speed, etc. output.

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.
