Hi all
Although I only joined the forums yesterday I have known about them for almost a year. I have been digging deep reading hundreds of threads in great detail, I have probably spent over 50 hours in the past couple of weeks reading them so have finally decided to join the discussion.
A little about myself and where I got my interest in Renewable Energy from.
My name is Danny and I'm from the North West, England, UK, I'm 20 years old and have been interested in engineering and electronics from a very early age, probably 8 upwards. At the age of 14 I dropped school since I actually wanted to learn something useful. I have just recently finished training as an electrician.
A couple of years ago I watched a TV program called It's Not Easy Being Green with Dick Strawbridge and his family, which aired on the BBC in England. It was a real eye opener for me and have been interested in the environment and renewable energy ever since.
At the moment I'm still living with parents in a total urban environment and I hate it, I'm intending to move out to the country and live an off grid self sufficient lifestyle. So I'm pretty much interested in everything these forums have to offer, its a great place.
Thanks for reading!
Danny
