MX 60 using Xantrex battery temp sensor?
« on: January 26, 2010, 12:12:31 PM »
I am looking for a battery bank temp sensor to compensate for wide temp fluctuations. (-40 to +100 F extremes) I was told about a 'dealer' saying that Xantrex sensors work on an Outback MX 60. Does anyone know of this combination being used? Did it work properly?

Thanks for your time,

BW

I don't know about the xantrex ,but that is a extreme swing.I built a foam box around my gel batteries in a insulated shed to keep them above 40 F in sub freezing temps and don't feel to happy with 40 F .home depot 2 inch foam helped me.

I have full intentions of doing the foam box as well. I forgot all about the foil foam, thanks for the reminder Tom. Is that a magnum inverter Tom? If so how do you like it? I have a 4024 but it's still in the box. I'm using a 1500 watt Xantrex on 12V right now.

I'll see if my dealer will guarantee it works right. He's a really straight up guy.

NICE! I have it's little brother as I'm only going 24Volt. I hope it works as well as yours... but longer! ;)
