Test Post

(1/1)

TomW:
Folks;
I got a couple of emails from folks who could not post to the board.
This is simply a test of the posting ability and waste of resources. I will remove it later if it works.
Cheers.

Seth:
nope... i see no pics.. just a post......

TomW:
Seth;
Well thats because I didn't post a photo. Was just testing to see if the story posting was working.
What fun.
Cheers.

ADMIN:
Thanks for helping, TomW!
So far, what I've found is that -- when folks can't post, they are not properly logged in...usually they missed the red "Login Error" message in the login box.
If they are logged in, ARE able to pull up "submit story/comment/reply", but the pulldowns for "choose section" don't work, they did not include "www" in the URL.
So far these are the only FOR SURE issues I've come up with from users.
Am trying to deal with image sizing. The "width=80%" attribute only works with certain browser brands and versions. I'm going to post on the Scoop developer's forum here shortly to see what techniques other boards use to deal with this. There's a way to do it with java, but hard to integrate into the dynamic HTML generated by the board.
Probably the best solution is to re-size the photos just before they upload to our server, again using java. But we'll see what the Scoop gurus suggest.
Thanks for everyones patience.

TomW:

It wasn't when i hit "submit" ????
Cheers.
