And you still call the FAA to complain!!

The store clerk burns out thier wand scanners trying to find it.

Any time store clerks see you coming they run for the detection system to shut it off!!

You FINALY convince the local commercial-only wind power people, that dont believe in home made gennies, that you can beat a commercial genny's capabilities!

Without spending thousands.

You can't tell your yard from a junkyard, until you catch a glimps of the windmills

You just might know where more of the windpower enthuthiests

live world wide than the CIA and NSA.

All your friends want you to help/build them a wind genny.

All your friends offer you stuff b4 they throw it away, just in case you could use it.

You start to get paranoid that politicians will want to tax the energy

you get from the wind.

The mills you build for friends are the only ones that stay up very long.

The machines you build for friends are more powerfull than yours cause yours are experimenting with trying to make it cheaper.

When you spend several hours building and testing a device that is 6"X6"X1/4" and feel great satisfaction and sence of accomplishment when it will light an LED and develops the same energy as a watch battery.

When one of the main reason to buy a house is to finaly have a garage to build that volvo brake genny and all the other big stuff you cant make in an appartment.

One day last summer while I was driving the 20 miles out to my father's place, I counted the number of utility poles in the first 2 miles and averaged it out for the complete distance... I figured upwards of a megawatt with a small genny on each pole.

when you break the belt on your dryer. You go to get the new belt, and on the way the only thing thats going through your mind is "Hum I wonder how many microwaves there might be laying around that you can get" you get back home with all your new toys and the misses gives you the death stare, but hey you had to get the belt.   "SAVED BY THE BELT"   lol )

He stands outside in sideways rain gleefully holding a wind speed indicator

You never want to ask "what are you doing?" when you haven't set aside time for the full answer that you know is coming

Your kitchen table will never see plates of food again

You don't find it unusual that his fingers are stuck between two magnetized brake rotors and he needs your help

You know that trash is subject to inspection... your's, your family's...

Your parents round up all the tools he will need to disassemble their broken microwave and they know he is not going to be fixing it

You now know that there is a nearby refuse recycle plant that gives stuff away for free
