The phrase "buyer beware" comes to mind. You have to know what you are buying if you buy it there, and who you are buying it from. If you buy magnets from the Dans, then you know what you are getting and who you are getting it from based upon their history. With a lot of these ads, the claims are obviously fraudulent, but with others it is hard to tell. The feedback is a good thing to look at, but even that can be misleading, as I bet the 5 foot 2500 watt turbine guy has good feedback for the most part. I think of myself as rather web savvy, but I've been burned a couple of times, bought a Matrix solar panel from a guy in Brooten, MN which never came, turned out the seller with a hundred fifty eight in positive feedback fell of the face of the earth (I havn't found what happened to him yet, but I will). Had another bad experience with a guy from Canada, but I was able to track him down and get most of my money back. Be wary of e-mails in general, especially for second chance offers as I've heard of fraudulent ones being sent out by persons other than the seller of the original item. I tend to buy from the same people as I have in the past when I can, even if the cost is sometimes a little higher. At least that way I know what I am getting. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Still, all in all, I like the service as I have an opportunity to obtain things that just aren't available in stores or even by cataloge anymore.
