I found this cool Rotor Design

But I can't exactly see where to attach the magnets ?

Any help would be appreciated . . .

I like it.  See if you can place them in the 3rd quadrant on the 4th dimension.

HaHa, get that from an MC Esher site?

Cheers.

I like that famous painting with the stream and the water wheel that your picture reminds me of too.  Rich Hagen

WOOF:

Come on, that is a convoluted design, quite easy to install the magnets, at a matter of fact the patent was granted about 6 weeks ago, it has the capability of multiplying the magnets (poles) to the square of the RPM and the output is self rectified with a 0.0015 % ripple below 44 RPM, above 44 RPM the ripple falls by an order of magnitude when above self resonance of the windings with the flying convoluted equi-centric and parallelized magnets.

Heck, that is not difficult to understand, I hope so !!

Hey there Woof,

Dr. Doo Little is on top of this situation, in suggesting that you push me kick me for the desired magnet placement protocol.

Happy New Year!

Wind your coils round that as a torus. Put your magnets facing the top side and they will also cut the bottom side. When they reach the lowest point at the bottom catch them in a bucket.

Love that site, Woofer! Have bookmarked it for further reference <evil grin>

As for the new rotor design, perhaps Dr. Möbius could help you out on that one?

Woof!

people never seem to understand or believe.

you don't need mags at all with that design.

a good double coat of my flux spray will yield much more than any mags you can mount on there.

trust me!  :)

Flux spray?

I want to buy a couple of bottles of that; should I spray on the magnets, or on the stator?

I trust you...

Woofer, you're an evil man for posting links to such websites!

Now I've got 10 more projects on my 'to do' list: a toilet tank aquarium, a hamster vest (perhaps this could have saved Skippy?), a 'kissing water fountain' (nice! seriously. I may one day try to sculpt one of these!), duck hunting gunboat, etc. etc.

This will have consequences: less time to visit fieldlines.com :(

Peter,

The Netherlands.

(I won't even mention the 'sex aid tool' and the 'clitoral clip'; yikes...)

If you look at the drawing close enough you will see that this object only has ONE side, so there would be magnets on all sides, surfaces. That is gonna be a lotta flux spray . . .

That's not so hard Woof.

You don't mount mags on it, it is made from them. Vertically tapered, horizontly wedged, magnetized through the R-Z axis in a triangular diagnol in reversed polarity.

You wind the stator the same way but with 3 in hand and a slight twist on the ST axis, split on the Z Q with an over under around behind up in front zig zag arc.

Very basic old design,

Saw those several times in hanger 49 of area 51. Had something to do with a magnetic motor I beleave.

This looks pretty neat to me. I also found an electric lawn mower..took the deck off , left the blade on, put it up a tower, we had

80 MPH winds, it still doesn't turn....maybe I can buy one of those things you have on ebay? Huh?ding123

In other words, this can follow the V^3 behavior of the wind exactly?
