BruceDownUnder is getting married
« on: June 01, 2007, 09:33:25 PM »
To all

BruceDownUnder is finally getting married and I think that many of us should send messages to him to congratulate him and to feel sorry for the wife. *> <<.

Let's send messages via this forum, serious and NOT serious as well ( many of this type), the best man to read them during the marriage ceremony.

He is getting married next week from tomorrow, remember that is NOW on Saturday June 2, 2007 and his marriage will be performed June 9, 2007 ( for us in the USA. It would be June 8 ).

That is wonderful, Bruce. A man from Australia got married after he

spent most of his life in the outback. During the honnymoon, his first

task was to remove all the furnature out of the hotel room. His new brude

was troubled and asked, "What are you doing that for,Mate?". His reply was

" Ain't never made love to a woman before, but if it's anything like making

love to a kangaroo, you sure need lots of room.

Congratulations to Bruce; my regrets to his future wife...

On the plus side, it probably means the chair for 'president of the Mt. Tamborine bicycle club' becomes vacant.

Where do I apply ?

Seriously. Wishing Bruce & Ida many happy years together.

Dinges;

Just for accuracy sake, her name is Ilda and, apparently, is a very tolerant lady putting up with Bruce and all his toys.

Cheers.

Safety first.

Does Ilda know NOT to bring iron items into the kitchen?

They fly directly to the refrigerator in many posters homes.

It can be handy for key rings,

but my wife is still a bit perplexed, perturbed... and another 'P' word.

Dear fellow fiddlers ,  Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Don't quite remember when I started on this forum ,,but was wayyyy back . I've gained so much from it in both friendship with a great bunch of world wide friends  and information on different ways of engineering..

Ilda and I actually got together 15 years ago ,, I remember one sunday morning back then we wound a automotive alternator,Ilda counting the turns ,-bloody thing never worked,,hahah.

Anyhow ,we will certainly remember our nice friends from here and other forums next Saturday ...

Thank you all,

Bruce and Ilda.

Did she move to Australia to marry you?  You know she's a keeper if she's willing to go "down under."

Sorry - couldn't resist

Harrumph!  I wouldn't be able to go (I'm riding a Honda CT90 from Canberra to Mildura and back next weekend, ~850km/530mi each way), but you could have INVITED me! ;-)

Well, Bruce and Ilda, I certainly wish y'all the very best.

And may your marriage be even longer lasting then my wife's has to me--she's insisting still that I am very very happily married for the last 34 years now.. :)

You certainly deserve a good woman and she will have to be a VERY good woman to put up with you..

/me tips hat to both of you..and wishes he could be there to throw some rice at the both of you...

Congrats

Congratulations, had you have scheduled it a couple months sooner, I was in your country.  If she helps you wind alternators, she must be a keeper.  Have fun, Rich
