Picture format
« on: December 04, 2004, 10:34:07 AM »
I have sometimes not been able to see pictures. First I thougth it was bad linked, but from the comments I can see it is  shown on others systems.

The problem is the format. I use a Mac and .bmp  not only take more space than .jpg or .gif it is a Window "native" format. I think most of you may use Windows, but beware it is other systems around, so please try to avoid .bmp and go for .jpg or .gif, which formats I do not know any system having problem with.

skravlinge,

Well, I use Macs myself but I run OS X on them and the only time this has happened to me was when I inadvertantly turned off images in my preferences.

The pictures all show up in Internet EXploder, Mozilla and Firefox for me.

Take a look thru your preferences and see if maybe you are blocking pictures from certain sites or all together.

Do you see the logos on top of each page?

My guess is its a browser issue on your end so try checking into that angle. .bmp really do suck and are very large for the data they represent but I can see them fine.
